Love, love, love the look! We actually used it, not for its intended purpose, we ended up not needing the hardware that was included to mount this floating shelf to the wall because instead we used it as a mantle for our electric fireplace, which we also got on Wayfair because it was the perfect size to extend the mantle a bit forwards and sideways. Love that it’s natural wood and love the unfinished edges. It really looks premium in person. I am giving it four stars only because our particular item arrived slightly bowed, which probably would not have been noticeable at all if we did hang it on the wall, but because we are sitting it on another surface, there was a sizable gap toward the middle where it was bowing up. this was most likely due to either sitting in storage upright for a long time or in a warehouse without humidity control, so I don’t think the manufacturer or Wayfair intended it to show up like this, ours was likely just slightly defected, but not defected enough for us to want to exchange it because as you can see in our photos, we were able to secure it to the mantle with a screw, which actually pushed it back straight.
