Hope you don’t plan on storing more than one flip flop because the screw to hold the hinges together is SO TINY it wouldn’t stay in place long enough to screw in the other side. I found some screws that were longer but then you can easily break through the “wood” on the other side. Instructions were also terrible.

For the sale price, this is an OK piece of furniture. I am very good at assembling furniture. I read the directions very carefully. This took me two hours to put together, and I needed my own tools. If you use a drill, I recommend being careful as the quality of this wood could split if drilled too hard (I did not have any issues there). There are a couple times where you will not be able to fit/use a drill as well, so have a screwdriver handy. Also, many of the screws look very similar, so you've really got to pay close attention to the instructions. The diagrams in the instructions are adequate but again, require close attention to detail as well as in at least one instance, the ability to rotate shapes in your mind. The two places where I had major issues with assembly were: 1) two of the holes that attached the hinge component to the top "lid" were not drilled correctly. I tried myself to fix this by making pilot holes to no avail. The holes were stripped before I got there. I ultimately super-glued the screws into place, but this was a very frustrating half hour of troubleshooting that you should be prepared for if you buy this. 2) There was a screw missing. Thankfully I had the identical screw needed in my own supplies. Additionally, during assembly it got some small scuffs on it just from pieces rubbing against each other, but nothing super visible. Again, for the sale price (NOT the full price), I do think this is worth the buy. I have sat on it multiple times and not felt like it was rickety. It looks very nice in my entryway and it fits six pairs of my women's size 9 shoes. I haven't tested sticking my snowboots in there yet but I think they will fit, especially because the "shelf" on the inside is adjustable (though the screws that allow for adjustment are pretty hard to work with). The narrow depth of this is so nice to fit into a snug spot. However, due to how difficult this would be for the average person to assemble and the worry I have about its longevity, I have to deduct two stars. If you are confident in your assembly skills and you have extra screws in a variety of shapes or easy access to find extra screws, I recommend the purchase given the low price. If not, look for something else.

Solid I do have to say when you open where the shoes go it just falls right open. There’s nothing slowing it down.

It is a great piece of furniture. Sleek and fits in my space well.

I assemled this Shoe Storage a few days ago. Everything was perfect the first 5 days, but day 6 of usage, the door keeps falling off of the plastic "hinge" that houses a very small screw which is supposed to attach the shoe door to the side panel, allowing you to open and close the door. So, unfortunately the door keeps falling off because the screws are too short and the two plastic "hinges" are stripped. This renders the Storage unit useless and as good as trash since the door which also holds the shoes doesn't stay attached to the Storage panels.
