Pretty sturdy piece! I combined it with the corner shelving unit and rearranged the rods & shelves to fit my closet. It is definitely solid and I like that the pieces don't really dent or scratch. Making marks on the wood pieces with pencil is the way to go, because it'll just wipe off!

This is a great closet system. Very sturdy and meets all of my storage needs. Not too difficult to install, give yourself a few hours though.
