Heavy and beautiful. I really don't think the pictures do it justice. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it does have holes in the top to attach to whatever it is holding up. I was a bit concerned about this in case a child decided to hang from it and slide the wood slab off the bracket, but my worries were needless.

Our cheaper brackets bent. These saved the remodel. Countertop feels like its on bedrock now.
