This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. However, the chest came with damage to the hinge. My husband had to go out and buy new screws (because the original ones were too short) and bend the hinge back in shape before inserting the screws. Wayfair gave me a 20% discount because of the damage, which I consider good customer service. But there was another issue which I did not report to Wayfair because I was not aware of the issue at the time. The lid will not open all the way. The hinge is strong and the lid will stay open-but only about 3/4 of the way. I was able to get my stuff in the chest, but I have to bend down to the floor to get stuff out, but I have to pull it out at an angle instead of straight up. Again, my husband is going to try and adjust the hinges so that I can open it more. That said, the chest is gorgeous, but because of the hinge/lid issue-it is not worth the full asking price.

Very log cabin western look. Matches my other log furniture. Be sure to measure so you know size of chest. Smaller then it appears to be online. I use it for storing bed sheets and blanets. One leg had a crack down it, but common for log furniture to have, so not a deal breaker. I did fill it with matching wood putty, sand, and lacqure just to make it better. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful solid piece.

Wayfair themselves I would rate 5 stars, very responsive to the issues I encountered. The product itself I was very disappointed with. The first chest had a broken leg that was split in two and a large crack along the top lid, a replacement chest came with a broken leg split in two and a smaller cracked lid. The construction is poor although it is nice to look at. I was able to repair both but in doing so noted the poor construction.
