Super belle tablette, très contente

This shelf has splinters and unglued edges! It doesn't look like wood but like very bad quality some kind of wood composite. The surface of this shelf is warped, rough and unpleasant. I'm very disappointed by the quality of this product overall.

Stylish shelf. I bought 2 sizes.Looks like set now.

The good: It smells like fir, so I believe it's real. The carving is nice. The bad: Mine did not come with hardware, which would only be two screws I now have to buy. It's very lightweight and insubstantial. I would not trust this shelf to hold more than a pound or two. It is unfinished in any way and is dirty and dusty. So, I've decided to clean, prime and paint. Others may want to finish in a different way, but I would not leave it as-is. The decorative veneer is held on by tiny brads that were already coming loose. So, I screwed in a couple of screws to strengthen it. Overall: I'm going to keep it, but do not feel it was worth the money.
