They are sturdy real wood shelves. They were just what I needed in on that wall. A helpful hint is to have an extender (not sure if that’s the real word) on your drill to reach under the mounting bracket to screws the screws.

We really like the shelves. I would have given them five stars but the black shelf had a few paint flecks missing at the corners. Fixed them with a sharpie and they look fine. Also for the three foot Shelf the bracket is only 30 in wide so there is no way to catch 3 studs. I added some 50 lb wall anchors to the bracket to Beef It Up a bit. On the 4th foot shelf I added wall anchors at the ends and between the studs just to beef up the support. I would not hesitate to buy these shelves again.

I really like the shelf and it was a simple process to get it up, but I find it odd that it didn't come with any screws or anything to attach it to the wall, I had to go buy some screws that I thought would work. For that, I give it 4 stars because everything else like this that I buy comes with the hardware to set it up.

It’s absolutely beautiful and thank goodness for the video instructions and a capable husband! Difficult to install if you don’t know what you’re doing but again, perfect piece for what we wanted.
