I really wanted to love this shoe rack because the concept is fantastic. Compared to traditional shoe racks that take up a lot of floor space, the vertical design has a much smaller footprint and works well in a closet or tight space. Even before ordering, I knew the silver and gold finish wasn't quite my style, but I was willing to overlook that for the functionality.
The unit arrives fully assembled, which is a plus, but unfortunately both of the units I received arrived damaged. Although they were packaged well, the glass shelves had fallen during transit. On the first unit, several of the shelf support pegs had pulled out of the sides entirely, making it unusable without significant repair. Customer service was responsive and quickly sent a replacement. The second unit arrived with the shelves displaced as well, but thankfully the support pegs remained intact and I was able to reassemble it.
The overall quality is underwhelming for the price. The interior lining is extremely thin and resembles metallic foil, while the gold trim looks and feels inexpensive. The finished product doesn't have the quality appearance shown in the listing photos.
The product description is also somewhat misleading. The renderings make it appear as though each shelf can accommodate multiple pairs of shoes, but in reality each shelf comfortably fits only one pair of relatively flat shoes. The shelves are fixed in place despite the listing stating they are adjustable. With approximately 5.25 inches between shelves, larger shoes and many men's shoes will not fit properly. In my experience, the unit holds seven pairs of shoes, not the 14 pairs advertised. The shoes shown in my photos are women's size 7.5 for reference.
In the end, it does function as a vertical organizer for seven pairs of shoes and does save floor space. However, between the shipping issues, misleading storage claims, and overall quality, I would recommend looking at other vertical shoe storage options before purchasing this one.
