The Omnigrid ruler grip will work fine and keep the cutting mat from shifting when in use.

I was looking for a ruler grip, to help me keep my ruler in place when cutting, and this was the one everyone kept suggesting. Aftervusing it on my last couple of projects, I can definitely say that I'm glad I listened to everyone's suggestions. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is, the release function is a bit tough.

We all now we are trying to measure out the fabric, or the vinyl and it moves. Sometimes even while we are cutting. Low and behold I don’t have that problem anymore. Easy “suction” or grip if you will makes for a easier crafting!

So useful, so easy - and it doubles as something my toddler can pretend is a phone when I'm not using it. Bonus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get the Omnigrid ruler grip today. Right away I attached it to my Omnigrip ruler. The suction cups were powerful and stayed tight while I cut my fabric. It didn't pop off my ruler at all. I always worry about my fingers getting cut off but this ruler grip kept me safe from that.
