Missing pieces, had to modify so it could be used. Altogether wouldn’t recommend as it is too complicated to put together. Lots of parts. Would rather the classic bike hooks that you just screw into the wall.

This is a great concept but poor in execution with the product. There are parts missing that you will need to buy. I needed lag bolts and longer anchor screws in order to make the item secure to the studs. Also it does not come with the tie downs to secure the rope. Be prepared to visit the hardware store if you purchase this product.

First things first, this is a great concept to lift and store a bike from the ceiling. My husband installed this pulleylift system in our shed. If the ceilings were higher, it may have made more of a difference. The system does not come with everything you need to install it. You will need to purchase lag bolts. The directions indicated that the system should be installed on the “horizontal” beams. The beams we were using were not “horizontal” and my husband made a “horizontal” system which is seen in the picture. The amount effort to install this system makes it 3 stars out of 5. It comes with 2 lift systems so you can hang 2 bikes. We only used one. I’m sure the second system will be easier to install if we ever choose to use it.

This was just what I was needed. I live in a 1000 sf townhouse with limiting space for storage, and I didn’t want the bike to be stored inside the house. This bike lift is very sturdy, heavy, and made of quality material. I can’t wait to get the bike off the floor to clear up the space, after it’s been installed.
