While assembly went well and shoe bench function is good I was disappointed that the details of the shoe storage bench stated a bamboo shoe bench. It is mdf and had I know I would not have ordered it but kept it anyways as it is in a walking closet with door closed. I really liked the open bench drawer but the extra storage takes some space from the heights of shoe storage as the depth for shoes could have been a few inches deeper to allow more room for shoe clearance.

I really like it for sitting on to change my shoes For storage was not good. Large size shoes don’t fit well

Don't be fooled by the photos; it doesn't hold very many shoes and you have to turn them sideways unless you have very tiny feet or they are children's shoes. I am a size 7 and a lot of my shoes won't fit in there because it won't close. Other than that I like the product and it will have to do.
