I have several chrome wire shelves. This one looks like the other ones I have, according to the photos but it's not a shiny silver color, it's a matte finish and looks like a grey color, which could be viewed as a dark silver color. So if you're expecting shiny silver this shelving unit isn't. Other than that time will tell how well it holds up. The wheels are much smaller than the ones on my shelves that are the same height, and depth but a foot longer, in width.
