Not great craftsmanship. You can see a pen mark of where the board was suppose to be and part of the ledge is sticking off….

The shelf is gorgeous and HEAVY. Simple to install - all you need is a drill, hammer, and tape measure. The wood is obviously much darker than pictured, which I was a little disappointed about. I was also disappointed that “normal” sized books do not fit on the shelf. It curves down at the edges so I did not take that into consideration for the measurements - it will fit a book that is 4”-4.25” in width. Overall, very happy.
