This is a nice idea, but in use, it's been a little tricky to figure out. Placement needs to be well thought out for accessibility as crops grow. Also, don't place in beds with plants with aggressive roots-they can grow into the cage and be hard, if not impossible to dislodge. It has been fine in my beds with brassicas, tomatoes, etc. It definitely makes vermicomposting simpler in my garden as it gets too hot here for a free-standing vermicomposting bin.

My Worm Composter and I are failures. I’m in North Texas Zone 8b. It’s to hot in the direct sun to place this. I have some shade up close to the house, but I placed the thermometer into the ground dirt it was just above 80* I’m afraid it’s still going to be too hot. I do love the product concept.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great composter if you don't have a crazy amount of kitchen scraps. I will say, it's helpful to put it in a bed or place that gets a lot of shade because it can get hot. I've also got a lot of black soldier fly larvae in mine. I know they're beneficial,1 so I am not mad about it, just a little icky. I think that is user error, though! Overall, I really enjoy this product.

I got rid of my tumbler and put these instead. I have one in each bed, 3. 5’X6. 5’. Two can fit, but one is enough too.
