We assembled this shelving unit for use in our garage.  They advertise this as an easy ten minute assembly, but my husband disputes this!  The instructions were not clear on how to initiate the assembly, so had the pillars upside down at first.  Once he was able to correct this, he had no problem with the rest of the unit.  The shelves do come with a rubber mallot to use as you are putting it together, but it really wasn’t big enough or strong enough to do the job.  The structure itself, or pillars, are a heavy duty metal.  The shelves are made of a fairly thick particle board.  Seems sturdy, and we certainly were able to load it up.  Very pleased with this unit for our intended use!

The 5-Tier Adjustable Storage Shelves were exactly what we needed for extra storage in our basement. They are very sturdy, and although they are not as deep as some of our other shelves, they are still able to hold a heavy load. When my husband and began assembling it, it was a challenge to get the initial pieces to stay together. However, with the hands of two people, some patience, and the use of a heavy mallet, we made it work. And once we got going, it got easier. We didn’t find the small mallet that was included useful for certain parts of the assembly, so I would recommend having a regular-sized mallet on hand.

This turned out to be a pretty nice unit but i reduced it by one star because it was a beast to assemble. The directions and concepts are clear but trying to hold pieces in place while you add additional pieces was challenging. But after my third try at assembly I got it!

This shelf is great with a few little things. It does not take 5 minutes to put together. It took like 30 for one person. It feels like cheap material but it holds up fine. We really needed it for our temporary pantry and it works well. The shelves are adjustable which is nice and have not seen any sagging or problems.

This is a super simple fixture for storage! I always need more shelves in my basement, so I decided to try this out. Assembly was quick, but did take two people to keep the legs straight while shelf holders were hammered in. It is a bit tough to fit the pieces inside each other, I recommend using an actual mallet- the plastic one that comes in the box just doesn’t do it efficiently. But once it’s assembled, it does feel very sturdy. You’re able to decide how wide you want each shelf, and I’m happy to report that from top to bottom, each shelf space will hold a standard storage bin, which is what I needed. Also included are brackets that you can use on either side as barriers so that things aren’t likely to fall off the sides, which my other shelving units do not have… that was a definite plus! Overall- if you need a storage organizer, you can’t go wrong with this simple option!
