I was hopeful that these bike racks (we purchased two) would be sturdy enough despite the lower price. Unfortunately, it does seem like we got what we paid for which is a very poorly constructed and completely unreliable rack. The hooks have a lot of flex and the top part of the uprights is bending forward despite having less than 200 pounds on the rack. This is a terrible design as the only thing holding the uprights together is a bracket that doesn't wrap around the sides at all, leaving the bolts to handle all of the tension. I just missed our return window but I am going to likely be disassembling these and tossing them in the dumpster this week.
