The fabric is very thin. It does not qualify as an upholstery fabric for a piece of furniture which receives much wear. It was purported to be so in the comments so I was quite surprised to find it otherwise. I will be returning it.

Love this fabric! I used it to recover my dining room chairs and a vintage foot rest. The material was sturdy and easy to work with. Beautiful results!
