Overall, I am happy with this purchase, it works for us. However, if you have any LARGE shoes (our biggest is 6.5 ladies) don’t think it would work. If the sneakers are too high, they don’t slip into the angle well enough, so you must cram the shoe in, or the door will not close tightly. I’ve included some photos to show you the height of the shoes, sidewards, and how we would have to do it . But we have decided to just keep the shoes that fit in here well. I also added extra shelves on the right side because there was only one. That also keeps the door from closing, which isn’t great. There is no stopper. I also painted all the hardware silver because I do not like gold, it doesn’t fit with present decor. It went together perfectly. I had no issues - 50 year old female and put this together myself. Some of the parts are mirrored, and if you do not follow the directions carefully, you may duplicate what you did for the first side, but that is not the correct way it would be a different hole on the second side. Depending on how flat and level your floor is, I would definitely put the wall anchor attachment and connect this. We did and we have had no issues in the nearly year that we’ve owned this. I think it’s a fair price, and modifications made it more suitable for us, that’s why I took away one star.
