I bought this to match my towel racks, but the diameter of the round brackets is slightly smaller than that of the towel racks - they are less "beefy," too. That doesn't make sense to me - it almost looks like two different sets of product. They're not quite as textured as the ones on the towel racks either. I'm not usually "matchy-matchy," but if any bracket should be larger, I think it would be the shelf/towel holder bracket instead, as it probably holds more weight. The glass for the shelf is a beautiful - substantial - piece. When I opened the package, however, the glass was screwed onto the shelf. This is not the ideal way to package, and I suspect other people get shelves with broken or cracked glass. There actually was a tiny chip on the glass where the bolt caps fit - fortunately, this is hidden by the bolt cap itself. All in all, however, I love the shelves - they just aren't quite the same as the towel racks.
