This bookmark comes from a Book Lover Quotes series that pairs playful reading-themed sayings - lines like "between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be" and "it's a good day to read a book" - with small doodles of stacked books, coffee mugs, candles, and leaning bookshelves. Backgrounds shift between soft blush, lavender, and teal, with the lettering worked in bold red, blue, and black cross stitch.
Why this kit: bold cross-stitched typography paired with charming book-and-coffee doodles; a set of genuinely witty, relatable reading quotes rather than a generic motif; lettering sized to stay legible even at bookmark scale.
Kit includes a pre-printed (pre-stamped) bookmark-format Aida fabric, floss in the required DMC-coded colours, a needle, and instructions.
The design is worked the same way as any counted cross stitch piece: following the color chart and symbol key, placing each stitch on the marked fabric with the correct DMC shade, and working section by section - lettering first, then the surrounding doodle - until finished.
Simple enough for a beginner and satisfying for a more practiced stitcher, this bookmark makes a natural gift for an avid reader or book-club friend.
