SOLID! Not the flimsy metal I expected--its *heavy* (will thus support weighty things) and has a high-end enamel() finish, so its dressier-looking than I expected. Five stars for those two features alone! I was going to mount it with the ledge facing up, but Im not using for framed photos or collectibles. I mounted it the other way instead, and the (down-)turned front edge gives it a nice, finished look above my cherished white porcelain laundry room sink. Happy dance!
