This is a beautiful, substantial tub, the only one I could find that was reinforced with fiberglass. I didn't want a freestanding tub for a number of reasons including no ledges to place things and no edge to sit on.
My only complaint is that the soaking tub is made from the same mold as the whirlpool tubs, and there are two strange impressions in the backrest area where the jets for the whirlpool tubs would be apparently placed. Doesn't affect the function of the tub, but less than appealing aesthetically.
Can't get photos to upload, but there are two 4" indentions about six inches above the base of the tub. Very nice gentleman in customer service confirmed that the same mold is used (I've always had great luck with American Standard customer service.)
