Nice tub, perfect size and height, easy get in

I did so much research before purchasing this tub and my choice did not disappoint. It arrived in perfect condition and very quickly. It is gorgeous and was exactly what we needed. We’ve used it for a month now and have had no issues what so ever. It’s deep enough for an adult to soak nicely but not too deep that’s it’s difficult for a child to step into. I highly recommend.

The tub arrived damaged, albeit only in a minor way. There appears to be some sort of polymer or glue adhered to the finish in one corner. I tried increasingly aggressive measures to remove it (paper towel, soapy sponge, fingernail, wooden paint stirrer) but it is really stuck on and i've already damaged the finish trying to scrape it off with the paint stirrer (although American Standard suggests using a wooden tool such as a popsicle stick to remove tile grout from the tub surface). It doesn't seem worth it to return the tub and schedule a new shipment, but it's a bummer nonetheless.

Well....I ordered this tub after reading reviews on MANY many tubs. I wanted to avoid the issues of thin fiberglass, possible cracking and other quality issues on the tubs reviewed in the $200-400 range so I decided to spend a few hundred more $ and get a quality tub with good reviews (this one has 5* until now.... Unfortunately it didn't work out and I had a bad experience with Wayfair initially on the return/refund process. So...the tub arrived undamaged despite being shipped from Iowa to the West Coast, which was good. The bad part was the delivery time kept getting extended and it took 3 weeks to arrive. Immediately on opening the box we saw a wavy surface on the inside wall of the tub (see photo). Wanting to avoid a return and another 3 week wait with no tub in our bathroom we discussed keeping it. However I decided to check the thickness of the tub wall behind the wavy-looking area and it was clearly very thin (see photo taken between the tub wall and the apron where you can clearly see the thin areas with light coming through). We were so disappointed. I called Wayfair and the first agent I spoke to told me that I could get a refund or replacement. The replacement looked like 2 weeks for shipping but I was skeptical that it would be 3+ weeks like before...sittingwith a big hole in the bathroom where our old tub was removed . The worst part was she told me Wayfair would NOT PICK UP THE TUB. It was down to me to dispose of it or donate it. REALLY? who will take a DEFECTIVE tub as a donation ?!. I've NEVER seen a bathtub in a thrift store. Ha ha. Funny/not funny. Also in our area (I know because I had to dispose of the old tub we removed..) our trash service will not pick up construction items like tubs. The minimum charge to dump it is $111 if I take it myself (I know this because I had to dump some flooring recently). Having it hauled away would be even more $$. The lady told me those were my only options. So either way I was going to be out of pocket over $100 !! for a defective item Wayfair had basically dumped on me. Horrible. As a result of this will never order a similar large item from Wayfair. Last year we ordered a TV unit and a bed frame. The TV unit (6ft long) arrived damaged upon delivery and the bed frame was the wrong color. Wayfair replaced them and told us the same thing - we should donate them and they would not pick them up as they were large items. Well - no one including Salvation Army would take the bed frame so its still in my garage 6 months later ! This is ridiculous. So after calling back a second time about the tub a more helpful agent finally managed to schedule a pick up by their delivery service. I'm told it will happen early next week so I'm crossing my fingers... So overall two main issues 1. This expensive tub with good reviews was DEFECTIVE. Hence the 1* review. Very disappointing. 2. Wayfair does not/will not pick up their defective stuff and tries to leave the customer to deal with it. This is TERRIBLE customer service. Buyer beware when ordering large items like tubs etc !!

We bought a left drain bathtub (as described on the product page) and received a right drain one. Our house was being remodeled so we didn't open it for a while. When we needed it, we discovered it was the wrong one so we contacted Wayfair. The person who helped me on the phone was nice (that's why this review is 2-stars instead of 1) and requested a replacement for us, which arrived after 2 weeks. Mistake happens, we understand. Then, I received an email from Wayfair that made me kind of furious: "It was brought to our attention that a replacement was requested as the item received was not what you had originally expected. We reviewed your order and the photo you provided, and we have confirmed that you did receive the correct product. The order placed was for the left-side drain placement. If standing a the back of the tub (where the lip is located), the drain is located on the left side. Since this product is not what you were anticipating, a return label can be located in a separate “How to return your item” email. This return label is for your replacement. If you would like to return both items, you may set up a return for your original item through your My Account to receive a second return label. Please note that items do not need to be in their original packaging." First, it said that they reviewed my photo (attached below) and claimed we received the correct item?!?! SERIOUSLY??? It is clearly different as shown in the pictures. And why would anyone decides the drain placement direction by "standing a the back of the tub"? And it demands I return the replacement (the correct one we received), which has a $75 shipping fee. I replied with the images and got an automatic reply with no followup. Please, wayfair, don't insult your customer after you sent the wrong product and delayed their project.
