We bought a left drain bathtub (as described on the product page) and received a right drain one. Our house was being remodeled so we didn't open it for a while. When we needed it, we discovered it was the wrong one so we contacted Wayfair. The person who helped me on the phone was nice (that's why this review is 2-stars instead of 1) and requested a replacement for us, which arrived after 2 weeks. Mistake happens, we understand.
Then, I received an email from Wayfair that made me kind of furious:
"It was brought to our attention that a replacement was requested as the item received was not what you had originally expected. We reviewed your order and the photo you provided, and we have confirmed that you did receive the correct product. The order placed was for the left-side drain placement. If standing a the back of the tub (where the lip is located), the drain is located on the left side.
Since this product is not what you were anticipating, a return label can be located in a separate “How to return your item” email. This return label is for your replacement.
If you would like to return both items, you may set up a return for your original item through your My Account to receive a second return label. Please note that items do not need to be in their original packaging."
First, it said that they reviewed my photo (attached below) and claimed we received the correct item?!?! SERIOUSLY??? It is clearly different as shown in the pictures. And why would anyone decides the drain placement direction by "standing a the back of the tub"? And it demands I return the replacement (the correct one we received), which has a $75 shipping fee. I replied with the images and got an automatic reply with no followup. Please, wayfair, don't insult your customer after you sent the wrong product and delayed their project.
