Haven't installed it yet, but looks to be high quality. Very comparable to super-pricey euro stuff I've used in the past.

2nd person to use it broke it. Cheap plastic parts . Just as another review described stop on temperature adjustment is useless

I should have read "awful's" review, the thermostat has no real stop and the possibility of turning more than 90 degrees is beyond easy and therefore breaking the internal mechanism. I have the Serin in for 2 days and it has already broken! When the parts were delivered I was impressed they were made in Germany but the design is not a Mercedes. A.S., please put some effort into putting a real stop (not made of plastic) into such an import part of the function. Very dissapointed

Two of these were selected and installed for the way they look (beautiful!) and the seemingly low ‘value’ price, in the spring of 2011. In the meantime, my 6 year old daughter has broken the thermostatic valve on one of trims by cranking it so far toward the cold that the inside plastic has shattered. In addition, I noticed this morning that the chrome plate has started to chip off. Originally, I was underwhelmed because the small levers are screwed on and have consistently become loose. Now, I am disgusted and am looking to replace them with ANYTHING BUT AMERICAN STANDARD. This product is awful through and through. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, I BELIEVE YOU WILL BE TOTALLY DISSAPOINTED!!!
