The lever part that goes inside the toilet is plastic so you can’t bend it if needed to fit your toilet

It is hard to determine what particular model an American Standard toilet is, and figure out the right part number. I thought I had the right part, but it wasn't. It fit the hole, but the plastic arm went off in the wrong direction. By heating it with a hot air gun, I was able to bend it gently in the right direction for my toilet and it is working.

Handle fits tank perfectly. Matches my other gold brass fixtures and looks very upscale and not cheap plastic.
