Système de filtration d’eau toute la maison 6 ans EQ-AST-WH

So far so good after years of using a traditional water softener I am looking forward to not having to lug salt around anymore. The installation was done my local plumber without any difficulty at all, I was up and running in about an hour after they arrived. With regards to how the water feels, it's definitely not super soft like my old traditional unit and that's OK with me.

I have hard water and got tired of cleaning scale off of shower heads, faucets, coffee makers, etc. I thought about a water softener but I don't like how it makes the water feel or how much salt is introduced into the environment from it. The TAC system seemed like a good alternative - 6 years between replacements and easy to install. I managed the installation with a friend using schedule 80 pipe and the include fittings from Aquasana. Aside from a brief hiccup due to an out-of-date set of instructions that was quickly remedied by a call to support, it was pretty straightforward and didn't require a plumber. After 2 weeks, I've noticed a big difference. Even before cleaning, my shower heads were already starting to run cleaner. It was also noticeable in my kettle and humidifier which very quickly show scale build up. Very happy so far!

Not working. Expensive to install. Hard water and UV lamps are making water scald

Easy to install and much nicer than a salt unit. You don't have to think about it for 5 years

This was recommended by plumber and I will never listen to him again. Our salt brine system was a great softener and limited scaling. The whole house system scales like crazy and so even though we are not drinking water with as much salt our water is not soft and faucets and sprayers clogging. When they system is spent we will probably go back to salt.
