Had to purchase two as we redid two bathrooms. Both units were so badly warped or flexed that it was almost impossible to install. In fact, one of them even bulged the wall out. Sharp metal corners. There are not a lot of choices when it comes to non-vented bathroom fans.Very disappointed in both units and would not purchase again

The product was already installed in both bathrooms when I purchased the condo So I don’t know how easy it it would be to install. I do know that it does not exhaust moisture from the bathrooms and it doesn’t claim to do that. All it claims to do is to help eliminate odors in the room. This is accomplished by means of a charcoal filter. When I attempted to replace the filter, I found it very difficult to replace. This explains why the old filter was bent. Obviously the previous owner also had a difficult time replacing the filter. I did notice that when one customers review said he put his in the kitchen, Broan, Did not advise him that it was not meant to be be put in the kitchen, In spite of the fact that it states it is not for kitchen use. He liked the product and they let him slide.

I'm sorry this is a bad idea and can't work properly. An exhaust fan has to have a place to exhaust it's discharging air. Inside a wall or joist area isn't the answer and for sure not one if the air is rich with moisture you are attempting to exhaust. 99.9% of all wall or joist areas are more or less dead airspaces leading to nowhere. If on an outside wall it will be full of insulation and inclined to really trap any and all moisture. This IMHO is a great way to create a black mold issue in your casa that could greatly affect your health.

This vent works great. Only caveat is you do need to make a note to change the carbon filter from time to time. They are not expensive, and they work, but not for ever.

Unboxed it today. The housing is so warped, this flimsy filter can't fit in the space provided snugly enough to prevent large gaps around it where the air will just leak past the filter. I was very surprised to discover such a poor design.
