These are pretty solid. They have good weight and they look good with the other items I've purchased for the bathroom their in. They will hold a robe, best if it has a loop to hang from. My main issue that I have with them is they do not hold a towel well. Sometimes I want to hang more than a robe, these do not easily accommodate a bath towel/bath sheet.
