I looked everywhere locally, even calling granite dealers in two other cities looking for a backspalsh to match a vanity and sink I bought from Wayfair. No such luck, not even for more than $120.
I found this backsplash on Wayfair. It was one inch shorter than I needed, but it worked out perfectly. All edges are polished and smooth. Granite is dark black with subtle inclusions which give it character. Workmanship is first rate.
You will want to unpack this outside, because it is wrapped so well it could have fallen off a moving truck and not broken. Not only is it packed in a styrofoam container, the container is packed inside a cardboard box which has been injected with expanding foam. It cannot move, hit the sides or be damaged by other containers during shipping.
It took a lot of work to force the injected foam to release the inner container. It was messy. I had to vacuum when I was done. However, I was happy to do it. I had been very worried about something this long and narrow making it though shipping in one piece. The packaging could not have been more careful. The price is very reasonable for granite of this quality. I would buy from this company again in an instant.
Pros: Looks custom made, high quality, sealed granite, unpack and glue to wall, and you're done!
Cons: lots of messy packing materials to clean up, but worth it.
