If security is your concern choose something else! The notification lag is really bad. By the time you get the motion or ring notification the person is well gone! My internet connection is very strong so that’s not the issue. This isn’t worth the subscription at all! What’s the point of this doorbell if I can’t see what’s happening on the other side of the door?. Pros are the Video Quality/ Night vision when it finally loads are good and it is durable.

After about 3 weeks of use, the Smart Doorbell has been excellent. We used a popular doorbell in the past that was constantly giving us false notifications. Since switching, we are very happy with the notifications from the Ecobee product. It was so easy to install, I didn't even need to call over our daughter to help (HA!).

I've had the ecobee smart doorbell camera for about a month and it's been great. It was easy to setup and the clarity is amazing. I just wish I could view live streaming history instead of activity clips with the ecobee smart security subscription.
