In many ways, this doorbell camera is wonderful. In one major way, for me, it’s not. what it does right? It’s a great camera day or night. It has a super wide field of view. It’s done fine for a year and a half outdoors in the hot Texas sun. It did fine in our one week of winter. The chime adapter allows it to work with both mechanical and electronic doorbell chimes and the chime adapter is included free. Wiring is super simple. Where it falls down for me is it does not have Apple HomeKit secure video it’s so frustrating because it does work with Apple HomeKit, but it will not allow recording in Apple Home. A year and a half ago when I first bought the camera doorbell, I figured it would be something like a feature they would add later, the secure video, but it never came and it looks like it never will, so reluctantly I am going to retire this doorbell and replace it with something else that does HomeKit secure video. That way, people at the door ringing the bell will pop up on all the TVs in the house.

VERY GOOD RANGE OF DETECTION AND CLARITY. RESPONSIVENESS GOOD TO MOVEMENT, EVEN PICKS UP ANIMALS (MICE) . NOTIFICATION OF ACTIVATION SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH THIS DEVICE AT NO EXTRA COST - or - EVEN WITH MINIMAL SUBSCRIPTION.

With 3 weeks already on this product, I am satisfied so far with all features.

Would have given this 6 our of 5 stars if it supported HomeKit Secure Video but IT DOES NOT!! I am quite perplexed as the indoor camera does support HKSV but for some reason the doorbell does not.. I am hopeful this is just a firmware update away from being supported.

It was very easy to set up and the clarity of the camera is incredible. Too soon to see how it handles the weather but overall so far very pleased with doorbell.
