Not at all as expected, not distressed in the least, brand new 2x4s so disappointed with this purchase. Only a light white wash. Very disappointing. Misleading information in title. The only thing distressed is Us. Beware!

Not only rustic, but structurally STRONG as well. These require pre-drilling, but it's actually a (+). We got a dozen and did an entire shelving system in our living room.
