Well, decided to make my own mantel from milled pine from a friend with his own mill. The brackets were easy to install and look just like the wood I was using, unfinished pine. I am very happy with this purchase! I recommend using the glue that is suggested also.

They were exactly what I expected and filled their purpose perfectly.

Looks great on vent

As advertised and pictured. We painted them and used them as shelf brackets in our foyer. We have coat hanging space left and right of the entry. We added a shelf above the coat hanging space on both sides. Here's a before and after snapshot of the shelf (with bracket supports). (Coat hooks not yet installed in this picture.)

I paired these corbels with a rough cut fireplace mantel I also purchased on Wayfair. We roughed them up a bit and stained them to match the mantel. I love the look and can’t beat the price!
