I chatted with the chat guy for over an hour to confirm that this sink was what I wanted. Fireclay comes in constructed in two ways - a solid molded piece that will last forever and poured clay that is hollow up the sides and bottom. Solid sinks make a thud sound and have no holes in the bottom from pouring into the mold. THIS sink was not as promised. It rings when tapped on the sides (not as strong long term), had holes in the bottom and you could see up the sides : ( It was also cracked. Be very careful when buying a fireclay from Wayfair. They do not know what they are selling and if you need to return they will make you take your 100lb sink to a UPS place.
