I got this at a good price so I gave 5 stars instead of 4. Door slab came with routered bottom slot for door guide but ad indicated that it came with bored holes (it didn’t). It has an aged look which is just what I expected, matches Industrial-Farmhouse theme. Don’t expect a glossy finish. Decent stain job, saved me alot of time. Standard barn door track and hardware kit will do. Ordered Homacer kit but was missing track. Wayfair refunded with no problem, further earning 5 stars and retaining future business with me.
I saved money buying this separately but would recommend buying kit if you’re not into doing extra calculations and measurements or don’t have tools handy (level, ratchet sockets, pencil, drill and drill bits are must haves) Recommend double checking all measurements and making sure everything is level. DIY but better with second hand. My buddy helped. Find studs over header and align holes! Calculate distance from top of track to floor (adding 2.5 inches to height of door) Draw lines to verify leveled measurements using the track as a template to mark holes. Pre drill holes and use ratchet tool to tighten screws into studs. If you can’t hit 3 studs with track holes, I recommend using a backer board. Pretty much it…I think it looks great! Very happy with the outcome!
