We love the matte black barn door hardware however, we had to cut circular 12” thick wooden “washers” (and spray painted them black, see photo) just so the door wood glide without hitting the molding. It worked out well and no one can tell. You can also install a 1x3 under the hardware but we didn’t like that look. We also use a regular interior door and the hardware did well. The bottom hardware piece requires you to screw into the floor and cut a strip in the bottom of your door. We ordered a different piece for the bottom because we didn’t want to screw anything into our hardwood. Just some tips that we have learned. This hardware would definitely support a heavy barn door with no problem. It’s very strong and secure! I hope this review is helpful.
