HWT-00 - Réservoir d'eau chaude HWT-00

Worked reliably for about 5 years, but like other reviewers here, we eventually got a leak. The failure was in the pressure relief/vent assembly on top of the tank — specifically the plastic nipple where the hose connects to it had cracked. This let air into the line (sputtering during use for weeks beforehand) and then water started leaking. Unfortunately this part isn't sold separately, so a small crack in that fitting means replacing the entire tank. Would like to see this vent assembly offered as a standalone replacement part for future units.

Be careful. It worked great for about a year, then it gradually lost heat temperature to like warm. We just learned to live with it and then put our coffee in the microwave to heat it up an extra 30 seconds to the proper temperature. The warranty was only a year and it’s a guarantee that the heating element will fail after that.

Ours is about 5 years old. Now it has stopped dispensing hot water until we’ve had it open for 30-45 seconds. Then it delivers hot water but uneven flow.

This product works well but the tank life is very short. After 3-4 years the tank will leak and unless you regularly check under your sink you will discover water leaking out of the cabinet or the ceiling below. Fortunately we have a liner in the under cabinet that contained the water. This unit is not cheap and would expect much better quality and useful life.

I am on my third one and it failed within 8 months. I had my first one in 19. That lasted almost 3 years. Then we got number 2 that lasted 18 months. Then the last one 8 months. I have the insinkerator filters installed also. What i have found out is that your heating element rusted where it mounts to the flange. All three had the same problem. Plus it tripped my GFCI outlet.
