My RO system had an iSpring UVF 11 installed with it for several years when one of the connectors broke off, causing it to leak. After mopping up all the water, I called iSpring and talked with Nick, who advised me to purchase the newer UV filter, the UVF8, which uses LED technology, and instead of having to replace the lamp annually, I would not have to change it but every 10 years or so. I am not a plumber nor an expert in these matters, but Nick assured me that I could make the swap myself. The system is working well now and the water is excellent. The light showing it is working glows blue, and I'm told when it quits, that is the time for a change.

It is a great size product that won’t take up space but installation was difficult to figure out and the instructions weren’t easy to follow.

However, I love the idea of the product and it’s ultimately my fault that I couldn’t actually use it. I do plan on gifting it to a family friend that will be able to use it. I will say that the product came wrapped very nicely and it’s so small, that I was impressed by all of the things that it’s able to do! I think if you are in the market for a good water treatment option, this would be a great option at a good price point!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly it's super easy install. It's a total DIY job. Unlike those old school bulbs, it uses LEDs. That's mean no mercury and no warm up time. Better for the planet. And what is important, it's made of stainless steel, so it won't rust out under your sink.
