This is paper faced, semi translucent glass mosaic tile. I recommend visiting the Owner Manual pdf link found in the product specification area for details on installation. It is difficult to appreciate the color pattern from the product pictures. If you purchase a sample keep in mind that the brown paper backing is the front of the tile and it removed after mortaring it to the wall/floor so the true color can only be appreciated without the paper backing.
