18 gauge steel is not thick enough for a quality sink, 16 gauge would be perfect. But the biggest disappointment is the engineering of the mounting clips. The company should be embarrassed in the design of this mounting system as it lacks all ergonomics and human factor engineering! Instead of a hex head/Phillips head combination screw, the mounting screw is a straight slot head with a groove so narrow that only a jeweler's screwdriver can fit in it. I had to grind down one of my long handle screwdrivers to fit in the slot. And then to attach 8 clips to the sink took about an hour due to the screwdriver slipping out of the groove. Worst engineering I have ever encountered!!!
