I installed one from Kohler and one from Phyn both of the same product and each has a separate app to set up and monitor your water. Phyn will send you push and text notifications. Kohler only will send push notifications, not text notifications this is a game changer. For this reason, I will only now install Phyn H2Wise and no longer use the Kohler version. It's a shame Kohler fix some bugs that Phyn had but dropped the text notification and this is more important than ever to have text notifications. For this reason, I will only buy this product from Phyn and use the Phyn app.

I installed the H2Wise five weeks ago and am somewhat satisfied. The installation was easy as was initiating its operation with the iPhone app. The device provides a good sense of how much water is being used each day. Five weeks in and it still is not correctly identifying what device is using water. I continue to edit the device used in the app and save it, but it does not seem to learn what device is actually using water. f note, I actually had a very minor leak in an upstairs faucet valve that the H2Wise did not detect or alert me to. Luckily, I heard the water leak hissing and was able to secure it before too much damage had been done. So overall, it's a nice device for us techno nerds but I am not sure what exactly I have gained in a larger sense except to see what my overall water usage is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product to use if you want to monitor your water pressure and usage. My husband easily installed this H2wise system using the step by step directions simply connecting to the hot and cold water connectors mounting it on the wall using the tape provided with the equipment then plugging it into the garbage disposal outlet. I was able to easily install the Kohler Konnect app on my phone without any problems by once again following the easy to use step by step instructions. We have only had this for a few day but I feel much better knowing our water pressure will be monitored.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this monitor under my bathroom sink to check for an increase in pressure or water leaks throughout the house. What's interesting is that even though it's only installed in one location it is able to track the entire house. The monitor was easy to install once I read through the instructions in the app. The product feels like it is made from quality materials that should last. It was easy to mount on the wall under the sink in order to connect to the water sensors. It'll be interesting to see how my water usage changes based on me monitoring it in the app. This offers alerts to help prevent large problems from happening. If an alert goes off and I'm not home I can ask a neighbor to check my house to make sure there aren't any issues going on. This product includes the Smart Water device, the sensor connectors, the power adapter, mounting screws for the water device, and adhesive strips to mount the device on the wall under the sink. An electrical outlet is required and it should be within close proximity to the sensors on the water connections. This electrical outlet cannot be controlled by a switch. I would recommend this to someone that is interested in monitoring their water usage and to someone that travels often and is concerned about possible leaks in their house when they are away from home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really getting into home automation over the past few months and have been focused on smart lighting and power monitoring. This product from Kohler is right up my alley and I was excited to try it out! When I first powered it on, it walked me through connecting to my home Wi-Fi and updating its firmware. I opted to place the H2Wise under my kitchen sink, since I had a free outlet in my kitchen cabinets. The installation was pretty straightforward and is a DIY job for anyone who has basic plumbing skills. I turned off the hot/cold supply and used a plumber's wrench to disconnect the lines. After draining the remaining water into a bucket, I installed the pair of sensors inline with the water lines (be sure not to over-tighten the nuts!). After plugging it in, it walked me through the rest of the setup process. It took about 30 minutes end-to-end. I was pleased to find that the H2Wise discovered a slow leak (that I was able to locate in my master shower) and that I probably need to install a Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) on my main water line due to high static water pressure. I would not have known about either of these issues without the H2Wise! Unfortunately, for me, the device classification and water use estimation features are a bit hit-or-miss. I've only used it for few days, but some of the classifications don't make sense. For example, it thought that my washer was using water around midnight... but everyone was asleep and I triple-checked there are no leaks. I suspect that this is because I don't have a PRV installed on my home and that's impacting the classifier. For me, the main value is in leak detection and the other monitoring is a bonus. This is a cool product for anyone looking for an easy upgrade for their smart home and the leak detector features make for an easy return on investment!
