I had an old teak veneer desk with many bubbled-up spots on the top. I planned to use it as a work table for art but needed a flat surface. This top was perfect to lay on the desk top! I’m not a big fan of the live edge but the quality, pattern and color of the top is beautiful. The live edge is like pictured- it basically makes the wood piece slightly trapezoidal so the edges are wider on the base than on the top- therefore, it would not look right by flipping it over.
