Love this mantel. Lighter weight for ease of mounting, but substantial enough to hold weight. We are very happy with our choice!

Love this mantel exactly what I was looking for!!

the end result is fantabulous.....the finish work on the fireplace mantle itself is great-looks much better beveled. BUT, for those who are not capable of engineering things...they will probably send this back. the support of the particular mantle is a stick of wood, super dangerous for such a heavy mantle. There is no angle, and directions are just flat BAD. Note to maker of these mantels, a 2x4 fit perfectly so we used a long 2x4, screwed 2x4 into wall studs, then set mantle over 2x4=perfection!!! But spent an hour trying to figure out what to do since it was very hard to find a quality mantle. I hope makers see this and reconsider a simple 2x4 (did I say 2x4 enough!! ha). Also, We live in Green Bay WI, from Huntsville AL and this is the area this is made....so I really wanted to make it work, found a simple solution :). So your welcome and I am thankful :)

Do not order the unfinished. It’s a hollow box with cheap looking wood. I could build a better one and I don’t even do woodwork. And to return it, it costs $20
