Overall, we're pleased with the door. However, it didn't come with any instructions enclosed. And it wasn't easy to obtain exact instructions online. But we were able to get it installed.

A couple things to be aware of before you buy this very expensive door! In theory, they will send you a door with the correct number of accordion panels to fill your door opening. We have a standard 36"-wide door, so they sent us a Right Stack Even Panel door with 8 panels. Unfortunately, this is just shy of adequate to fill the space. While the magnets are fairly strong, they are not strong enough to hold the force of the extra stretch needed when you close the door. Hence, we can't recommend this product for a standard 36" opening. They need to add a ninth panel, or the panels should be a little wider. We don't have experience with any other door widths, so it might work fine for you if your door is a little less wide, or if the door-opening-width-to-accordion-panel ratio is just right. Also, the panel material feels strong, but it is actually quite brittle and weak compared to the forces exerted by screws. In the instructions, they say to simply screw the end panel into the jam with several screws. Uh uh. Don't do it. With the force of the accordion, this will just pull the screw heads through the weak brittle door material over time, especially if the door doesn't quite fit the opening, like in the case of a 36" standard door width. We had to use washers to distribute the force so it doesn't destroy the brittle door material. Lastly, your door opening should be perfectly square with plumb sides to use this door. If it is not square and/or out of plumb, like ours, this door will not work without jury rigging.

We use these for our closet doors so that our children do not break them.
