Put it down and works great! It rained and water usually comes in my apartment but not anymore!

In theory, this was perfect for my needs. I have a large gap under the door leading to my garage from my house - 1/2” on one side, 3/8” on the other. I got tired of the cheep vinyl “fins” tearing off of the other under door sweeps but did not want anything visible from the interior of my house. I cut it to size with a Dremel pretty easily, predrilled the holes on the garage side of the door and slid the rubber piece into the metal piece. I did have to put a little silicone on it because it fit really snug. Then I screwed it on and my door wouldn’t shut without excessive force…. What? I looked under the door and the metal was touching the threshold! How was this happening with that large of a gap? THE SWEEP WAS NOT CONSTRUCTED AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE!!! I checked the door (which was new and had not been trimmed) and after removing the new sweep saw that it definitely was more than 90 degrees which caused it to angle away from the bottom of the door. The metal is pretty thick and could not be bent. I didn’t warp it when cutting because BOTH ends were more than 90 degrees and I only cut one end. Into the trash it goes and my new door now has screw holes drilled into it that I have to fill and paint. Not happy.
