I ordered this item twice and both came damaged. The first was not terribly damaged and I sent it back and ordered again hoping for a perfect mantel. However the send mantel was TERRIBLE and in aweful shape. I should have kept the first and lived with the damage. Now i'm stuck waiting for a solution until I can finish my reno. I would not recommend ordering this specific mantel unless you are prepared to send it back and order it a 2nd or third time to get a clean product. It is disappointing that this company is sending out mantels that are reaching their final destination in poor shape.
