When I opened the thinly worn box I knew it was going to be a problem because there was no bubble wrap or styrofoam supporting the loose pieces. I began taking the parts out one by one and saw that the base was cracked. I stopped and called Wayfair immediately and they agree to send me another fan. I when back to look over the pieces again and I discovered the off button on the control panel was smashed in. I was so disappointed and I am still wondering way the shipping department sent me such an item to me. When I got my replacement fan the condition of the box was worst and still no support for the parts inside. In this shipment the spinner knob that attach the blade was broken so I use the one from the first fan. Most companies do a good job at packing because they know that the boxes go through a lot of tossing and turning before it get to the customer. Many of us in New York knows that most Fedex driver do not use hand trucks and they throw the boxes out the truck on the ground. When I got the fan together it smelled like burn rubber for a week I watched it closely and it seem to be okay now. I will not be buying Optimus products in the future

This is a really nice fan. It has multiple speeds and even has a timer control. I'm happy I purchased it.
