the plate on one of the faucet was damaged and trying several days to get it replaced. It is holding up the installation of both faucet to wait for the plate

We got this in brushed nickel and we have tried all types of cleaner and it leaves spots almost as if its peeling. We have a water softener and have no issues with other faucets. We tried CLR and other products safe for faucets with no luck. Thinking of replacing faucet because of it. Very disappointed.
