Mat is OK if you want a clear basic sink mat. What I don’t like is that it doesn’t shed oils for lack of better terms. When u pour anything in sink that is oily the mat seems to retain that film and I find I have to soak it in soapy water to get that oily film off. I did cut out the center to allow any big food pieces to go into strainer as well but that was my preference.

I use this beside my sink under a cloth mat to keep my counter from harm, i.e. scratches and heat, as my counter top is old formica laminate . Does the job.
