It's okay. Looks good, but material is very light in weight.

Finishes the gas fireplace nicely

I had to deduct one star because the assembly was so frustrating. One of the screws wouldn't tighten, but the mantle is managing to hold together with just 2 screws on one side. Attaching the mantle to the wall was difficult for me without a helper, since the mantle has to be lifted up and onto the support strip. It took me several tries as I'm on the shorter side, but I finally succeeding by standing on a stool first and then lifting the mantle into place. In spite of the above, I am delighted with the mantle. Its style is lovely and it took paint very well. As the first photo shows, it turned out to be nearly the same color as my wall, so I decided to paint it and then dress it up a bit with peel & stick brick wallpaper. I created the hearth by applying peel & stick tile wallpaper onto one of the Styrofoam packing pieces.

Do not buy….returned first damaged one and second one was worse. They claim it is wood…ha…cheap mdf.

Very disappointed in the product. The dimensions were not as listed. It was several inches short on width. The finish of the surround was also very uneven and rough in places. We used the legs and painted them but had to have the mantle built to get the correct length
